Woman's Day New Zealand, in its April 18, 2022 issue, reported Tina Brown revealed some shocking details about the royal family. The close pal of Princess Diana even divulged the late royal's reaction if she witnessed how Queen Elizabeth backed Camilla Parker-Bowles to be Queen Consort.

Though Princess Diana reportedly admitted she knew she would never be queen, it does not mean that she would accept Queen Elizabeth's recent support for Camilla Parker-Bowles to fulfill the role. The Palace Papers: Inside The House Of Windsor - The Truth And The Turmoil author said:

"She would have loathed the idea of Queen Camilla. But we're 25 years on. The Queen's always been a pragmatist and knows Charles wants Camilla to be queen."

Tina Brown also talked about the stand of Princess Diana's sons on the "Queen Camilla" issue. The author claimed Prince William and Prince William are divided, adding:

"William is very grown up about it...'My father loves this woman, I can't fight it, so I won't. Harry, on the other hand, is very angry. He can't make peace with it and probably never will."

Unnamed sources told Woman's Day New Zealand that Prince Harry "remembers his mother's pain through child's eyes because he was so young when his parents split." A palace insider added:

"Diana always treated Wills as her equal and Harry as a little boy, which he was -- you decide which was more fair. We're seeing the results of that now they're grown men navigating their own tricky emotional waters."

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth reportedly "urged" Prince Charles to end his marriage to the late Princess Diana as quickly as possible. Her Majesty, as per claims, even regarded the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry as a "threat to the monarchy."

Royal analysts, in a 1995 report published in The Spokesman Review, claimed that Queen Elizabeth had sent letters to both Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The British monarch, allegedly, prompted the ex-lovebirds to end their marriage in a swift matter, especially since they have been separated for three years already at the time.

The said report suggested that Queen Elizabeth and former Prime Minister John Major had "grown increasingly alarmed by the scope and nature of Princess Diana's challenge to the royal status quo."
