Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticized by online trolls for years. But things recently got out of hand when some Twitter user taunted the royal couple, particularly the Duke of Sussex.

Twitter account @royals_sussex recently trolled Prince Harry for allegedly testing positive for COVID-19. The person behind the account also posted a cryptic tweet saying that if Prince Harry dies then he dies.

Royal Commentator Urges Prince Harry, Meghan Markle To Do Something About Their Trolls

Royal commentator Richard Eden found out about the rude comments made by the Twitter user, and he urged Prince Harry and Markle to do something about it.

“#PrinceHarry and #Meghan do have some deeply unpleasant fans. It might be time for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to condemn them. #royal,” Eden tweeted (via Express).

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Receive Hate Comments On Social Media

Last year, over 100,000 tweets about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were analyzed using Bot Sentinel, a Twitter analysis service. And royal fans learned that out of 114,000 tweets about the couple, only 83 accounts posted 70 percent of the hate comments against Prince Harry and Markle.

Reports also revealed that criticisms directed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex increased shortly after they announced their decision to quit The Firm.

“We observed the primary accounts coordinating their activities and using various techniques to avoid detection. In short, the majority of the anti-Meghan and Harry activity wasn’t organic,” the report revealed.

Bot Sentinel also revealed that there were approximately 55 primary hate accounts and 28 secondary hate accounts created to attack Prince Harry and Markle on Twitter.

“Combined with the help of their 187,631 followers, these accounts were responsible for around 70 percent of the original and derivative hate content targeting Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Twitter,” the report revealed.

Samantha Markle Accused Of Trolling Meghan Markle On Twitter

Last week, BuzzFeed News revealed that there’s currently a group of people that spend most of their time targeting Markle. And they are also the ones responsible for spreading false claims about the Duchess of Sussex.

For instance, they have been claiming that Markle faked her two pregnancies and that she hired a surrogate to conceive her two children. They have also been insisting that Archie and Lilibet Diana may not be related to the Suits alum.

And following a thorough investigation, the publication reportedly learned that one of the people behind the fake accounts is Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle.

“Samantha’s Twitter account has endorsed many unfounded theories about Meghan and claimed to have inside knowledge that they were true—things that Samantha has apparently never said in any of her mainstream media interviews,” reporter Ellie Hall said.

Shortly after Samantha’s identity was exposed, her lawyer claimed that her social media accounts and emails were hacked.

“Ms. Markle’s email and other accounts have been hacked on several occasions, and it is very likely that those statements were made by third parties to defame our client,” the lawyer said.

Samantha Markle Files A Lawsuit Against Meghan Markle

As of late, Prince Harry and Markle have not filed a lawsuit against Samantha and the other trolls that have been attacking them on social media. But Samantha recently filed a lawsuit against Markle for allegedly lying about her past.

Samantha claimed that Markle faked her rags to riches story. And the former also alleged that the latter didn’t save herself from poverty on her own. The Duchess of Sussex has yet to respond directly to Samantha’s lawsuit, but her lawyer said that Samantha’s accounts are inaccurate.
