Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t initially unveil the names of Archie Harrison’s godparents public to protect their identities. But Prince Harry later revealed that his godparents are Tiggy Pettifer, the Duke of Sussex’s former nanny, and Mark Dyer, Prince Charles’ senior attendant.

During his interview with The Sun, Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie talked about Lilibet’s godparents and he also mentioned Oprah Winfrey’s name. Scobie clarified that he’s not saying that the talk show host is one of Lilibet’s godmothers, but his words were still taken out of context by some royal fans.
“If one of those godparents is Oprah–and I’m not saying that she is–then you can understand why perhaps they want to keep that to themselves because even Oprah sitting down to interview them was controversial enough in itself,” Scobie said.

Oprah Winfrey Confirms She’s Not Lilibet Diana’s Godmother
Shortly after, Winfrey spoke with Entertainment Tonight to confirm that she is not Lilibet’s godmother.
“I don’t need to be a godmother. I mean, I’m a godmother by default. I’m a neighbor, I’m a friend. I think you probably need someone younger to be the godmother,” she said.
Since Prince Harry eventually revealed the identity of Archie’s godparents, it’s entirely possible for him or his wife to do the same later on. But as of writing, no one knows who Lilibet’s godparents are.
Oprah Winfrey Is Good Friends With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle
Meanwhile, Winfrey’s recent revelation about her relationship with Prince Harry and Markle didn’t come as a surprise to royal fans. The talk show host said that she’s a friend to the couple. And this is, perhaps, one of the reasons why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to sit down with Winfrey for their tell-all.
Even though an entire year already passed since Prince Harry and Markle’s interview aired, royal experts and royal fans are still talking about it. Just this week, royal author Tina Brown revealed that Prince William was utterly disgusted by the comments made by his sister-in-law.
“It was such a shame. It was described to me as civil, which is palace courtier for what the rest of us would refer to as frosty. You do wonder whether it could be their kind of gift to the Queen to make up somehow. But there's been so much said - obviously, Oprah,” she said (via Express).
During their interview with Winfrey, Prince Harry and Markle dropped several bombshells about the royal family. The couple made some racism allegations but refused to reveal which royal questioned the skin color of their son, Archie.
The Duchess of Sussex also talked about her relationship with Kate Middleton and said that they had a misunderstanding before her royal wedding to Prince Harry. But contrary to the rumors, it was the Duchess of Cambridge who made her cry and not the other way around.
