Prince Charles has been making headlines for two different reasons. On one hand, royal experts are criticizing him for his alleged involvement in a previous donation scandal. On the other hand, some people are thrilled for him because he finally had the opportunity to meet his granddaughter, Lilibet Diana.

Details Regarding Prince Charles, Lilibet Diana’s First Meeting Released

According to reports, Prince Charles and Lilibet’s first meeting lasted for approximately an hour. It’s unclear what transpired during their first meetup, but one publication claimed to know all the details.

“It was a fantastic visit. The prince was delighted to see his grandson and meet his granddaughter for the first time. The Prince and the Duchess [of Cornwall] were absolutely thrilled to see them. It was very special to have some time with him. He hadn't met Lilibet, his granddaughter, and so to meet her for the first time was very emotional — it was a wonderful thing,” the source told People.

And during a Clarence House press briefing, another royal insider was quoted as saying that Prince Charles had a wonderful time with his grandchildren.

“It was fantastic to see them. It was wonderful to have them back in Britain,” the source said.

News About Prince Charles, Lilibet Diana’s First Meeting Released Days After ‘Cash In Bags’ Scandal

However, BuzzFeed News reporter Ellie Hall questioned the timing of the reports regarding Prince Charles and Lilibet’s first meeting, as well as the heir’s reunion with his grandson, Archie. The publication claimed that the news was released three days after Prince Charles’ name was dragged into the donation scandal.

The Sunday Times claimed that Prince Charles accepted $3.1 million in cash that was placed in a suitcase from a Qatari politician.

According to BuzzFeed News, the recent press briefing at Clarence House was held to discuss the financial report, which saw a 17 percent increase in royal spending over the past fiscal year. It was also confirmed that Prince Charles took over 20 private flights within the United Kingdom in the past year.

Meghan Markle Bullying Investigation Reports Released After Prince Charles’ ‘Cash In Bags’ Scandal

And prior to this, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also made headlines earlier this week amid reports that the details of the bullying allegations wouldn’t be released to the public.

The publication pointed out that reports about the bullying investigation, as well as Prince Charles’ meeting with Lilibet became the focus of more publications instead of the cash donation scandal.

“A quick search of royal headlines on Friday shows far more coverage about the so-called bullying report, and Charles’s meeting with Lilibet, and his relationship with the Sussexes than news about royal spending or the ‘cash in bags’ scandal,” the publication wrote.

This isn’t reportedly the first time that a story about Prince Harry and Markle made headlines ahead of negative coverage about the other members of the British clan.

Last year, reports claiming that Markle bullied palace staffers were released five days before her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey aired.

The journalist ended her story by asking readers if they think it’s all just a coincidence or not. However, it would be difficult to say that it is unless there’s concrete proof.
