Prince Charles has been pestered with numerous rumors and allegations, being the future king of the British monarchy. In fact, the husband of Camilla Parker-Bowles had been facing a lot of malicious issues in the past few years, especially after the infamous royal exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Recently, Prince Charles found himself at the center of another uncomfortable police investigation that involved his charity and close pal Michael Fawcett. What happened? Keep on reading to know more details.
Is Prince Charles In Trouble Again?
Woman's Day Australia, in its upcoming Oct. 18, 2021, issue, reported that the London Metropolitan Police are keen to investigate Prince Charles over his involvement in a shocking cash-for-honors scandal.
The entertainment news publication revealed that Michael Fawcett, a close pal and the right hand of Prince Charles, was inculpated in using his position to secure a CBE for a Saudi business contract in return for donations to The Prince's Foundation.
An unnamed source told Woman's Day Australia:
"It doesn't look good. Charles has been incredibly close with Michael since the 1980s but he has indicated he will cooperate with authorities. Charles will prefer to invite investigators to his Highgrove residents, rather than the indignity of having the future king being snapped going into police headquarters."
Daily Mail reported that Michael Fawcett was forced to step down as chief executive of Prince Charles' foundation in September. To recall, The Mail on Sunday exposed how he had offered to help secure knighthood and British citizenship for a billionaire donor from Saudi.
Insiders told Daily Mail that the charity called for an independent investigation and auditors will interrogate past and present trustees of The Prince's Foundation. Tipsters added that the organization is expected to put the blame on Fawcett and Chris Martin, the executive director of development, who also resigned amid the investigation.
An unidentified informant told Daily Mail:
"Some of the financial controls were circumvented by the fundraisers in order to get the cash. They were operating behind the backs of the board. It was very much outside their knowledge. 'We were asking, 'How could we have got ourselves into this mess?' It can only be that some people at the foundation have been blinded by the glamour of royalty and it has clouded their judgment somewhat. The official running of the Prince's Foundation was good, it was what was going on unofficially that was the problem. I'm sure the Prince of Wales didn't even know what was going on. Even the letters he signed would have been written by Michael."
Aside from Michael Fawcett, Woman's Day Australia also revealed that another close friend of Prince Charles is under investigation at the moment. It was reported that historian Count Adam Zamoyski has been placed under house arrest in mysterious circumstances in Poland. No other details have been made public as of this writing.
Prince Charles and the Palace have yet to comment on these reports. So, avid followers of Prince William and Prince Harry's father should take these speculations with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
Prince Charles Claims He Understand The Anger Of Climate Activists
Meanwhile, Prince Charles revealed to BBC that he understands the activists' frustrations and why they are willing to rally to demand action on climate change. The son of Queen Elizabeth, during an interview, said blocking roads is not helpful, adding that people should expect the disastrous impact if more ambitious action is not taken to address the societal issue.
Prince Charles said it took so long for the entire globe to realize the effects of climate change. The Prince of Wales added he is concerned that world leaders would only talk about the major environmental issue at the upcoming UN climate conference in November in Glasgow and take no significant actions after that.
The Duke of Cornwall said the imminent Glasgow climate conference was "a last chance saloon" and added it would be tragic if all nations did not come together to talk about climate change. Prince Charles stated:
"I mean it'll be catastrophic. It is already beginning to be catastrophic because nothing in nature can survive the stress that is created by these extremes of weather."
The former husband of the late Princess Diana furthered that "the problem is to get action on the ground." Prince Charles even divulged that he does have similar thoughts and beliefs with Greta Thunberg, who criticized leaders for not acting on climate change. The heir apparent said:
"All these young people feel nothing is ever happening so of course they're going to get frustrated. I totally understand because nobody would listen, and they see their future being totally destroyed."
