Queen Elizabeth just arrived in Balmoral a few days ago, and she will be staying there for the next 10 weeks as part of her yearly summer vacation. It has been a royal family tradition for everyone to gather in Balmoral during the summer break. And according to reports, Prince Andrew will definitely spend time with the monarch during this time.

Prince Andrew’s Attendance In Balmoral Means Prince Charles, Prince William Won’t Be With Queen Elizabeth

But according to Express, Prince Andrew’s attendance in Balmoral means that Prince Charles and Prince William would likely skip this summer’s bonding session. After all, the father and son want to distance themselves from the Duke of York.

Months ago, Prince Andrew was cleared after he was accused of sexually abusing Virginia Roberts Giuffre. However, this was only because the two parties had already reached a settlement.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Invited To Balmoral But Won’t Be There

Other than Prince Andrew, the queen also invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to join her in Balmoral. However, it’s unclear if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accepted Her Majesty’s invitation.

According to Page Six, it’s unlikely for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to travel all the way to England just to be with the royal family this summer. After all, the couple and their children currently reside in the United States.

And Prince Harry and Markle were just in Britain last month when they attended the queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Unfortunately, the couple received boos from the crowd as they entered the chapel for the queen’s Thanksgiving Service.

Prince Andrew Wasn’t Completely Transparent About His Newsnight Interview With Queen Elizabeth

Meanwhile, the queen’s favorite son, Prince Andrew, also made headlines this week amid reports that he wasn’t 100 percent honest about his controversial Newsnight interview.

According to royal expert Russell Myers, Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband did not tell anyone – including the queen – what was on the agenda for his interview with Emily Maitlis.

“He was always around those people that never told him no, never told him, ‘Don’t you think you should pull back from this situation?’” he said (via Express).

Royal Beat host Kate Thornton asked Myers if this includes the queen, and he said that it’s highly likely for Prince Andrew to not have been completely transparent with his mother.

“Well, I don’t think he told her the full story, did he? I mean, he sort of told her he was going to do an interview. Nobody really knew the full story of what he was going to be discussing with Newsnight. I mean anyone who would have known an inkling of what he was going to be discussing would have just told him to not take part in that,” he explained.

Even though Prince Andrew’s interview aired three years ago, it suddenly made headlines again after it was revealed that Princess Beatrice accompanied her dad ahead of his conversation with Maitlis.
