The spinoff has the same format as the original Pretty Little Liars, a group of young girls being terrorized by a big band only named A.

A blames the girls for an unknown tragic event they did in their pasts, so they're now forced to face the consequences of their actions.

But unlike the original series, Pretty Littler Liars: Original Sin has the chance to feature more mature content and dig deeper into its horror elements for being aired on a streaming platform, HBO Max.

"I can't answer any question like that, but I will say that this is the PLL Cinematic Universe, baby, so we're all in the same world. You never know what could happen."

Kinney seemed to refer to the whole PLL franchise, from the original series to Original Sin to the two cancelled one-season series Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.

According to ScreenRant, Hale herself previously teased the possible return of her role as a mom.

So, with Kinney's comment, she appears to have opened the door for anyone from the PLL world to make their appearance in Original Sin.

Though there's a possibility that Aria can be A, it may take a long way before that revelation happens.
