Fans still hope to see Better Call Saul Season 7 even after witnessing the end of the series on Monday, August 15. That said, is there still a chance for the criminal lawyer’s return either as Jimmy, Saul Goodman, or Gene Takovic, or will there be another Breaking Bad spinoff coming?
The Complete Story of Jimmy McGill
Sadly, there will be no Better Call Saul Season 7. According to ScreenRant, Season 6 was confirmed to be the series’ last after announcing its renewal in 2020.
Co-showrunner Peter Gould said his dream was to only complete Jimmy’s story.
"My dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill – now AMC and Sony are making that dream come true,” he said.

Hence, the sixth season was just the right time to complete Jimmy’s tale. It also coincided with Breaking Bad’s number of episodes, 62, while Better Call Saul had 63.
Does Better Call Saul Season 7 Still Have a Story to Tell?
If Better Call Saul Season 7 were to happen, do Vince Gilligan and Gould still have a story to tell?
The prequel timeline had already caught up to Breaking Bad. So, if a new season 7 happens, it will return to the original series’ timeline.
Better Call Saul also featured flashbacks and flash-forwards to tie up all the loose ends about Jimmy’s life, from his pre-lawyer days to his future as the Cinnabon manager Gene.

Is Another Breaking Bad Spinoff Possible?
As Better Call Saul Season 7 is far from happening, another Breaking Bad spinoff may likely come.
Gilligan and Gould haven’t ruled out making a third season. Add to that Giancarlo Esposito’s interest in exploring the life story of his character, Gus Fring, pre-Breaking Bad days, and a new series centering on him may occur.
In fact, the two shows featured stories about Gus’ past that were never fully explained.
So, if there will be a Gus Fring spinoff, it will be the creators’ chance to tell the fan-favorite villain’s side of the story.
