Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, also known as The Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se Poong, took another step toward its release date.
Kim Min Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, and Kim Sang Kyung work together to adapt the novel of the same name into a K-drama series. Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, is an upcoming historical-medical Korean drama about the life of Yoo Se Poong, a physician for the royal family who soon loses his job due to a conspiracy about the monarchy.
He leaves the palace and works in Gyesu village, where he starts training to become a doctor. He then focuses on patients with physical and mental health issues.

Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist Releases New Poster
The 2022 K-drama connected with its viewers again through a new poster, as shared by Naver.
The material shows the three doctors of the series as they open the door to welcome new patients.
Kim Min Jae, who plays the role of Yoo Se Poong, beams a warm smile that calms people who see the poster. Behind him are Kim Hwang Gi’s Seo Eun Woo who holds a magnifying glass and Kim Sang Kyung’s Gye Ji Han who looks ready to treat his patients using the acupuncture needle he holds in one hand.

Meanwhile, the poster also hyped fans with the text, “What illness brought you in today? I’ll examine your heart first.”
The three doctors would soon show how they treat their patients, but the cast members first gave them their thoughts about the plot.
What the Main Cast Members Think About the Plot
In the same report, the trio was asked to give a keyword or phrase that sums up the new K-drama Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist.
Kim Min Jae chose the drama’s title and said that he is falling deeply into his and his co-stars’ characters.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyang Gi chose the word human to describe the drama.
“The drama relatably depicts the stories of people with a wide variety of illnesses of the heart. Everyone is so well-suited to their respective roles, and the filming set has such a comfortable vibe that I feel a healthy energy while filming,” she said.
Actor Kim Sang Kyung then picked “heart” as the story is reportedly about treating wounded hearts through warm love.
Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist will drop episode 1 on August 1 at 10:30 p.m.
