Today’s Webtoon started the countdown ahead of episode 1’s premiere.
Kim Sejeong scored a new lead role after her successful stint in A Business Proposal. Her new drama, Today’s Webtoon, serves as the Korean remake of the Japanese drama, Sleepeeer Hit!. It tells the story of a former judo athlete who decides to be part of the webtoon editorial department. But the character faces no smooth path to becoming a true webtoon editor.
In the series, the actress plays the lead role of On Ma Eum, a judo athlete who wants to join Olympics not until an accident happens and causes her to work at a webtoon editorial department instead.
To give a sneak peek into her new world, the K-drama released its first episode weeks before the episode 1 release date.

Today’s Webtoon Trailer
On KBS Catch’s YouTube channel, the network dropped a 16-second trailer featuring Kim Sejeong’s On Ma Eum.
The idol-turned-actress looks different as she sports a short haircut with full bangs on. The character then sees the magical world of webtoons as titles and sketches start to appear on the screen.
Her computer screen also lights up and shows exciting stories she works on as she strives to become a webtoon editor.

As she continues to stare at her computer’s monitor, she suddenly falls into the webtoon she is reading as sparkles surround her.
Aside from Kim Sejeong, Today’s Webtoon also stars Nam Yoon Su, Choi Daniel, Jang Sung Yoon, Kim Gab Soo, Son Dong Woon, Ko Chang Seok, Nam Bo Ra, Yoon Seo Ah, Park Ho San, Ha Do Gwon, Hwang Young Hee, Baek Suk Kwang, and Ha Yul Ri.

Today’s Webtoon Episode 1 Release Date
Kim Sejeong’s new drama will premiere in South Korea on July 29 at 10:00 p.m KST.
