Pom Klementieff Reveals She Almost Got Mantis To Drop the F-Bomb In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

As you might be aware, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to drop Marvel and Disney’s first ever uncensored F-bomb by none other than Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord himself.

Pratt previously revealed that this isn’t the first time any MCU actors had been attempting to sneak off any form of curse words or profanities in the films.

However, the Guardians star is quite happy his finally got chosen.

As a matter of fact, the F-bomb was NOT actually scripted or intended to be included in the first place.

Pratt said that dropping the F-bomb was some kind of improv on his part, that magically suited the film.

Well, lo and behold, as it turns out, Star-Lord was not the only guardian in line to drop the f-bomb, but even Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, too!

“Oh my god. We tried a lot of different words on set, and then he chose — what was it at the nut thing? It was so funny.” Klementieff shared in a recent interview with Collider.

“Something with nuts! No, I would just say something in French.” The Mantis actress added that the specific French word she was looking for was ‘Merde’, “It means shit.”

It would have been all the more interesting to see Mantis, the seemingly most naive and innocent among the group, to have been given the F-bomb pass.

Then again, Marvel and Disney allowing the curse word to air is all the more praiseworthy, especially since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is also bound to be the cast’s last movie together, as well as James Gunn’s.

In spite of Marvel boss Kevin Feige warning Gunn to not include the profanity, Gunn immediately rebutted saying he DOES want to be the guy who drops the first profanity in MCU history.

Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 releases in theaters on May 5.
