Kevin Feige and the crew of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania recently attended the Marvel Studios panel at Brazil’s Comic-Con Experience to showcase the upcoming film to the crowd with exclusive footage featuring Scott Lang’s life-changing big things as a celebrity after Avengers: Endgame.
Speaking at the CCXP 2022 (via Comicbook.com), Paul Rudd talks about the ‘big changes’ anticipated for Scott Lang next year once the film gets its release. The actor recounts the many accomplishments his character had to deal with after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Read his full quote below:
“A lot has changed since the last movie, for sure. For one thing, we saved the universe. That hadn’t happened yet, so now, a lot has transpired since the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp.”
With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania set to introduce Marvel Phase Five, fans are also highly anticipating how the film plans on introducing Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror officially into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his initial debut in Loki Season 1. For now, Paul Rudd poses a few questions that could lead to the very plot of the threequel.
“I think Scott is trying to figure out, ‘Where do we go in life now?’ He’s still very close with his daughter and he’s looking forward to the next chapter, and much like it is in life, the chapters are not what you expect them to be. And so, pretty quickly, a chain of events happens, and we are thrust into a pretty big story.”
The third Ant-Man movie is set to focus on the adventures of Scott Lang with his now fully grown daughter, Cassie Lang, who ends up activating a device that sends Scott, Cassie, Hope Van Dyke and her family into the Quantum Realm, which, according to the trailer, also leads them to Kang the Conqueror who will soon unveil his plans to take over the universe.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is slated for release on February 17, 2023.
