On Feb. 19, just days before the third season premiered, Netflix officially confirmed that the Pogues would return for another season.
All the Pogues — Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss and Carlacia Grant — took the stage at Poguelandia, an immersive fan even re-creating the Pogue's paradise island. "Outer Banks has been renewed for a fourth season!" Stokes told the crowd.
"This is an incredible moment for all of us. To our cast and crew, thank you so much for all of your hard work."

Outer Banks Season 4 Plot: What Will Happen in The Next Season?
The official plot for Outer Banks Season 4 is still unknown, as Netflix just dropped Season 3. However, according to Esquire, treasure hunting will continue.
Also, the show may offer a new storyline. Given the Season 3 finale's turn of events, Stokes hinted that "the floodgates have opened."
Outer Banks co-creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke also shared with Entertainment Weekly that Season 3 helped them figure out the future of the show, including how many more seasons it will run.
"As we started this season, there was some work to try to connect everything together," Burke told EW. "Now we have a very general roadmap for what we want the whole rest of Outer Banks to look like."
Jonas also said this about the Season 3 finale:
"[It's] a culmination of not just this season's story, it's the whole series story that comes to fruition at the end of the season. This really, hopefully, is a satisfying culmination of the first 30 episodes of the show."
Burke agreed, adding:
"This continual three-season story does come to more of a satisfying conclusive finale than it has in other seasons, though there's hopefully many more stories after this."
Josh also hinted that they are preparing for the transition of the Pogues, hinting about a huge time jump or more seasons on the way.
"We're also setting up the Pogues for this transition as they're getting older into future seasons. We're playing a lot of big cards at the end, put it that way."
