Kaguya-sama: Love is War ending

It seems that Oshi no Ko just revealed the ending of Kaguya-sama: Love is War in a recent crossover chapter.

Recently, a special chapter for Oshi no Ko was released, and while it’s a short, 4-page chapter, it does drop a big reveal regarding the future of Love is War’s Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane.

Spoiler Alert: There are spoilers for Kaguya-sama: Love is War in this article.

The chapter sees Ruby Hoshino and Aquamarine Hoshino chatting about Ruby’s previous magazine photoshoot.

Ruby mentions that she was nervous during the photo shoot, but she was calmed down by the photographer who told her some amusing stories.

While Ruby was trying hard to remember the photographer, it was revealed on the last page that the photographer was Kaguya from Love is War. The page also revealed that Kaguya now goes by Kaguya Shirogane.

If this is canon, then it means Kaguya and Miyuki will indeed be together in the future. And there’s reason to believe that it is indeed canon as both series’ are said to be in the same universe.

Both series are written by Aka Akasaka, though he only illustrates Love is War as Oshi no Ko is illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari.

Last year, Akasaka was asked if both shows are connected. In the official Kaguya-sama Twitter, Akasaka revealed that for him, Oshi no Ko takes place a couple of years after Love is War.

Aside from this answer by Akasaka, there are also numerous hints within both series that they exist in the same universe. If it is indeed the case, it seems that the manga will end on a happy note for its two protagonists.

Fans won’t have to wait too long to find out, though, as Love is War is set to end in just a few months.
