Amazon and Toei Confirm Oshi no Ko's Live-Action Film and Series Adaptation
Comic Natalie reported that Amazon and Toei have begun a joint project for the live-action film and TV series of Mengo Yokoyari and Aka Akasaka’s drama, mystery, and supernatural manga series, Oshi no Ko.
While the live-action Oshi no Ko film will be released and distributed by Toei in theaters, the live-action Oshi no Ko drama series will be exclusively distributed worldwide on Prime Video.
Aka Akasaka also commented, adding that he is looking forward to the live-action adaptation of Oshi no Ko created by people from the real entertainment industry.
He initially thought that Oshi no Ko would never receive a live-action adaptation due to its various references to the entertainment world and live-action adaptations of manga works, so he was grateful for the cast and the production team.
Oshi no Ko Live-Action Film and Series Reveal Release Window
The live-action film and TV drama series of Oshi no Ko has been slated to release sometime in “Winter 2024." The exact release date of the live-action adaptations is still kept under wraps, and only the release window has been confirmed.

Oshi no Ko Live-Action Cast
Aside from the release window, the cast of the live-action adaptations of Oshi no Ko has been announced, and they are as follows:
- Asuka Saito (former Nogizaka46 idol group member) as Ai Hoshino
- Kaito Sakurai (Ryu Sanada in the Kimi ni Todoke live-action series) as Aqua Hoshino
- Nagisa Saito (former Love Idol group member) as Ruby Hoshino
- Ano (Oran Nakagawa in Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction) as Mem-Cho
- Mizuki Kayashima (Nishino Mitsuki in Saiko no Kyoshi: Ichinengo, Watashi wa Seito ni Sareta) as Akane Kurokawa
- Nanoka Hara (Mizuho Nanba in Wave, Listen to Me! Live Action Series) as Kana Arima
