After all, the Toei Animation hack had put the anime on an indefinite hiatus while the manga was on a slight delay as Eiichiro Oda needed more time to complete the upcoming chapter. Luckily, it looks like people are in for some good news next week. The staff has just teased an upcoming announcement at the same time as Chapter 1044 will finally be released!
Fans have noticed that the One Piece staff shared an interesting photo with the word "Confidential." The picture also highlights the date of March 28, 2022. Check it out below.
So what's with the date? March 28 is the release date for One Piece Chapter 1044 which is currently one of the most highly anticipated manga chapters. Although some believe that the announcement might have something to do with the manga, fans are hoping it could be some good news about the anime.
One Piece Episode 1014 was originally scheduled to be broadcast on March 13, 2022. However, the latest episode of the anime had to be put on hold due to the Toei Animation hack which prevented production from being completed. Although the anime had already confirmed an extended hiatus, people are hoping that the hack has finally been resolved and Episode 1014's new release date could finally be announced.
That's not the only One Piece project that could get an update next week. It's also possible that there will be some major news about the live-action adaptation that will air on Netflix. Either way, we are looking forward to next week's major announcement.
One Piece Chapter 1044 will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #18 on March 28, 2022. The manga will also grace the cover and lead color page of the issue.
