One Piece Film: Red Reveals Uta Voice Actor, Singing Voice

It's no secret that One Piece Film: Red will focus on a completely new character named Uta but the details about the mysterious diva have been rare and far between. Luckily, we finally learned who will play Uta in the highly anticipated movie and her singing voice has also been announced!

The new trailer for One Piece Film: Red featured a snippet of the new theme song performed by Uta. The song titled New Genesis is actually performed by Japanese singer Ado, who will provide the character's singing voice.

But who will provide Uta's speaking voice in the upcoming One Piece movie? It has been confirmed that Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection actress Kaori Nazuka will play the diva in Red.

We only got to hear Nazuka briefly in the new One Piece Film: Red trailer. Luckily, a new video diary shows Uta talking about her upcoming concert in the movie. Check it out below.

It has also been confirmed that the new One Piece film will feature seven different themes performed by Ado, Yasutaka Nakata, Mrs. GREENAPPLE, Vaundy, FAKETYPE., Hiroyuki Sawano, Yuta Orisaka, and Motohiro Hata.

One Piece Film: Red will be directed by Goro Taniguchi while Tsutomu Kuroiwa wrote the screenplay. Eiichiro Oda himself serves as executive producer on the movie.

The film will star Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Ikue Otani as Chopper, Yuriko Yamaguchi as Nico Robin, Kazuki Yao as Franky, Cho as Brook, Katsuhisa Hoki as Jimbei, and Shuichi Ikeda as Red-Haired Shanks.

One Piece Film: Red will be released in theaters in Japan on August 6, 2022. The international release dates have not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
