After debuting its latest generation back in December, Nijisanji EN has opened a new round of VTuber auditions. With this, content creators or even VTuber fans who dream of becoming virtual streamers will get a chance to become one.
The new round of auditions was announced via the official Nijisanji EN website and Twitter account.
There, info about the application dates and requirements was detailed, as well as the specific type of content creator they are looking for.
Nijisanji and the Big VTuber Companies
VTubers (or Virtual YouTubers) have been around for years now, with the first popular one being Kizuna Ai who debuted back in 2016.
Since her debut, there have been many VTubers that followed, though it was only in 2020 when VTubing blew up.
Because of the quarantine restrictions in 2020, the popularity of VTubers increased dramatically.
This made sense considering that most people were at home and streamers have become a primary source of entertainment for many.
The companies that drove this popularity include Hololive and Nijisanji, two Japanese agencies with a large roster of VTubers. Though at the time, most of their talents were only fluent in Japanese.
Thanks to fan translators and clippers, Hololive and Nijisanji Japanese VTubers became popular even among the international community.
Because of this, the two companies soon debuted English-speaking VTubers.
Since late 2020, companies such as Nijisanji have debuted lots of English-speaking VTubers. And there seems to be no sign of stopping anytime soon as auditions for more streamers are still taking place.

Nijisanji EN Opens Latest Round of Auditions
Nijisanji recently announced that it has opened yet another round of VTuber auditions.
According to the announcement, the company is looking for English-speaking streamers who can actively stream and create content for the next 12 months.
Given the caliber of VTubers in Nijisanji’s roster, candidates must have prior streaming experience, and they must be aged 18 and above.
Though given that they will play a character, there are no gender restrictions for this audition.
This new batch of auditions is open now until April 17 at 12:00 AM PDT / 4:00 PM JST.
Interested applicants can sign up through a Google form where relevant information must be entered.
For now, there’s no word yet on when the streamers who pass the audition will make their debut.
However, it’s expected that they will debut sometime later this year given Nijisanji’s pace in debuting new generations.
