It seems that series creator Kohei Horikoshi’s health issues have flared up again, meaning the manga’s release will get another short delay.

Thankfully, it won’t be a lengthy hiatus, so fans will still be able to find out what happens next later this month.

My Hero Academia is one of the biggest ongoing manga in Weekly Shonen Jump. Ever since its debut back in 2014, Horikoshi’s manga has become one of the bestselling of all time with over 85 million copies sold as of February 2023.

As the manga has been ongoing for over eight years now, My Hero Academia is now on its final arc.

Since early 2022, the final war between the heroes and villains has commenced, pitting almost everyone in major fights.

Because of the series’ events, the manga has trended multiple times last year, with the biggest shock happening back in August as Bakugo seemingly died while facing off against the All For One-controlled Tomura Shigaraki.

Up to now, fans still don’t know if Bakugo is alive, though he’s seemingly being set up to be revived by Edgeshot.

Following his apparent death, the focus shifted to the other characters.

The latest chapter brings back the focus to U.A.’s flying fortress, with an all-out fight between Deku and Shigaraki about to happen.

While things have gotten more intense, it’ll be two weeks before fans will know what happens next.

On the official My Hero Academia Twitter account, it was revealed that the manga will go on a two-week hiatus.

This means Chapter 380 will not be released in the next Weekly Shonen Jump issue this weekend.

While fans are looking forward to what happens next, many are concerned about Horikoshi’s recurring health issues.

Some fans are even hoping that Horikoshi would take an extended hiatus for his health.

The next My Hero Academia chapter will be released on February 19, 2023, on Manga Plus globally.

There’s no word yet on whether the manga will return to its weekly serialization after its return.
