In chapter 287, it has been revealed that All For One planned to control Tomura’s body all along. When Tomura was a child, All For One found him on the streets after he murdered his family using his quirk. All For One promised a better life for him to the point that Tomura was treated as a son.
What Tomura did not know is that the reason he was taken in is because he will be the one who will steal One For All from All Might. All For One did everything he can to snatch the powerful quirk but failed many times. All For One groomed Tomura to hate the current society and taught him that his role in life is to eliminate All Might.
Not only did All For One give Tomura his quirk, but also all the previous owners’ quirks, making it as powerful as One For All. Tomura did not expect this and ended up with a mental battle with All For One. The battle was unexpected as the two were expected to be allies. When Midoriya knew about what was happening, he was decided to help Tomura, despite all the evil wrongdoings the other has done in the past. Will Midoriya succeed?
