What just happened completely baffled everyone, leaving the viewers with their jaws dropped as Moon Knight just took a sharp turn in confusionville! What Happened in Moon Knight Episode 4?
In Moon Knight Episode 4, The Tomb, it picks up where the previous run ended with Steven shutting down after he helped Khonshu move the stars from the day the map to Ammit’s tomb was made and the people of Harrow appears so Layla has to do everything she could to keep both of them safe. She rolls Steven down the hill and made a run for the car. When the Harrow’s people arrive, Layla strategized a way out by using flares and it just shows that she could stand up for herself in such dire times, much to Steven’s surprise, too.
They go to where the map points and sees a dead end so they walk on foot to the location. Upon arriving, they check the supplies to look for things they need to get in. For a while, they share a sweet moment but Steven tells Layla the truth about Khonshu eyeing her to be his next avatar. Even if it upsets Layla, Steven kisses her and Marc expresses his jealousy by punching Steven.
Upon going down the site, Layla draws a symbol to honor her father and Steven falls hilariously but he remains in awe finally being there, one he used to read in books is now within his reach. They end up in a maze and this is where Steven has an inch ahead of Marc – he knows his history and mythos. He draws the eye of Horus to find out the way through the maze and they realize that they are in a tomb of a pharaoh.
Looking for Ammit’s ushabti has taken Steven and Layla into a place where the sorcerers from the time of the ancient Egyptians were buried to send off the pharaoh into the afterlife. However, Steven notices that there is fresh blood on the table and they proceed to look for a way to the tomb. Curious enough, there are shells of guns around the place.
Steven looks for another way when a mummy, possibly the protectors of the tomb, where they see a person devoured on the table with organs being torn down and when they got busted, they get separated while running away. Layla has to deal with the more dangerous way, through the side of what seems like a really deep pit. The mummy catches up to her and she was able to survive it by pushing it through the pit.
Meanwhile, Steven finds a tomb fit for a king when Marc confronts him for kissing his wife. He approaches the sarcophagus where he realized that it has Macedonian characters inscribed on it. Like a light bulb in his brain, it clicks on him, the final avatar of Ammit was Alexander the Great and he stands there in awe looking at his long-lost tomb.
Steven and Marc find out where the ushabti would be and since the avatar is the voice of the god, they figure that the ushabti would be down the throat of Alexander the Great. Steven has to deconstruct the pharaoh to get the ushabti out and it turns out, they are right all along.
As for Layla, she sees Harrow who later discloses what happened to her father when he died. Harrow reveals that Marc was there when it happened and Marc can never forget anything that happened on that fateful day. Before Layla leaves, Harrow wishes for her to find closure on her father’s death.
Layla sees Steven but confronts him that she demands to see Marc. Since she is already angry, Steven obeyed and gave Marc the body but Layla wants to really know the truth of what happened with her father. Marc says that his partner got greedy and went on a killing spree. Even he was supposed to die that night if not for Khonshu.
Harrow and his people arrive with their big guns and though Marc defends himself from the others, it is Harrow himself who shot Marc, twice, on the chest. He falls into the waters behind the sarcophagus of Alexander the Great.
From then on, we see Marc waking up at a mental institution but what makes it weird is that everyone who has been in the show are either patients or workers of the place. All the things and places Marc saw was there and it was Harrow who is his doctor. Much to the strangeness of everything, Marc remembers being shot by Harrow and dying.

In his attempt to escape, Marc comes across a sarcophagus with a person inside and when he opens it, he sees Steven, in the flesh. Both of them remembers being shot by Harrow. As they try to get out, they come across a sarcophagus that has someone violent inside of it. Upon reaching the exit, there is a hippopotamus wearing an Egyptian garb and says hi.

Moon Knight Episode 5 Spoilers, Theories, and Leaks
Layla is still in the tomb and she hides from the people of Harrow but with Marc/ Steven being shot to the chest twice and without the benefit of the suit’s healing powers, everyone’s presumption is that he is dead. Surely, there is something that would happen next that would give him life and come back better than ever.
The partner of Marc who killed the father of Layla has been mentioned and it purports that he may possibly arrive in the MCU. The Bushman, in the comics, is another villain in Moon Knight and with the mention of him, he could come out at any moment.
Everyone was baffled with the mental institution. It seems that such place is the mindscape of Marc and Steven which is why they met there in the flesh. Other than that, the other sarcophagus suggests that another persona is kept at bay and everyone is rooting for Jake Lockley to finally make an appearance.
Lastly, the Egyptian Hippopotamus is suspected as Taweret, the goddess of childbirth and fertility. Other than that, Taweret is also a protector. It is possible that she would revive Marc/ Steven. Her appearance in the mental institution also indicates that none of that is real and they are possibly in the psychic world as Harrow mentioned.

Disney+ exclusively streams Moon Knight along with all the other Marvel series released or upcoming as announced for the Phase Four of the MCU. There is no news yet as to the release of the series on DVD but what is sure is that it would be available on the service in the highest streaming quality, 4K. It is rated TV-14
