Miles Teller Would Only Return as Fantastic Four's Mister Fantastic on One Condition

After months of anticipation, fans cheerily welcomed the monumental return of Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff in the long-awaited MCU sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Alongside both Wanda and Strange, fans were also amused with Fantastic Four's Reed Richards' cameo as a founding member of the Illuminati, starring John Krasinski.

Although fans undoubtedly loved Krasinski's cameo as Mr. Fantastic, it's still not clear if he will be returning to reprise the role in the upcoming MCU reboot of Fantastic Four.

While this Multiverse is the current MCU arc, where literally anything is possible, this gives actors from previous franchises to reprise their MCU superhero roles and surprise the fans.

Now, it appears that Miles Teller, who previously played the role of Mister Fantastic wants to return to the mega-franchise.

In an interview with Digital Fix, 2015's Fantastic Four actor Miles Teller unveils the condition he wants for him to return as Reed Richards in the MCU.

“The thing that I look at for pretty much every project is scripts. That’s first and foremost," Teller said. "The character, the director, the cast, the cinematographer: all of those things, I think, go into making a decision. So, if I thought all those things were in place, and we had a really good chance to succeed, then yeah, I wouldn’t have a problem with it.”

Sadly, 2015's reboot of the Fantastic Four was met with harsh reviews from both critics and fans, causing the film to disrupt the development of a potential sequel. Even Jamie Bell, who plays The Thing in the reboot sadly admitted that MCU fans don't probably want him to return to the role.

As much as we want to give Miles Teller a chance to redeem himself and give justice to the role of Reed Richards, fans unquestionably found John Krasinski's portrayal of the fan-favorite character incredibly satisfying. However, for now, it's still up to Marvel Studios if they're going to continue with Krasinski or bring back Teller. But who knows? With the Multiverse in mind, where variants of characters exist in other universes, both of them might come back.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now showing in theaters worldwide.
