Michael Bay Teases Megatron’s Appearance in Transformers: The Last Knight

Looks like Optimus Prime is once again going head to head with his archnemesis, Megatron, in Transformers: The Last Knight. Director Michael Bay, who has helmed four previous films of the franchise, teased the return of the menacing villain with a short video on Instagram on Tuesday.

He captioned the post: "It's starting. This week production. Megatron is back. #transformers #decepticons."

He added that filming for Transformers: The Last Knight officially begins in June.

Take a look:

The fifth installment in the Transformers franchise, The Last Knight has been hyped by both the director and his cast in the past few weeks. Unlike other films however, it appears that Paramount has taken a liking to Instagram when it comes to his Transformers teasers. When the studio announced that the official title of the fifth Transformers movie will be The Last Knight, they also made use of the social media network. Less than a week ago, Bay also teased the movie's production in Cuba with an Instagram post showing the image of a lime green car, which I suspect must be an Autobot.

Specific details on the movie's plot remain unknown, but the movie's cast has gradually been growing. The list includes Mark Wahlberg, Cade Yeager, Josh Duhamel, and Isabela Moner.

Transformers: The Last Knight is slated for release on June 23, 2017, with the sixth and seventh films set to hit theaters on June 8, 2018 and June 28, 2019, respectively.
