Michael Bay Announces Transformers: The Last Knight Filming in Cuba, Teases New Autobot?


Transformers: The Last Knight is the second American movie to be filmed in Cuba, and proud director Michael Bay excitedly updated fans about the beginning of the movie's production.

On his first Instagram post from the Caribbean island nation, Bay showed a lime green vintage car in an unknown street and captioned it with: "CUBA! Second American Movie shot in Cuba. Amazing place! #transformers."

Of course, this car isn't a Transformer – or is it? Bay didn't mention anything about the cool lime green vehicle, so fans are left to speculate.

Personally, I think it is a Transformer. As to whether it's an Autobot or a Decepticon remains to be seen though.

Bay announced a week ago that Transformers: The Last Knight would begin filming in Cuba this week. However, the country is only one of the many places around the globe that the movie is set to film in. Other locations include London and Detroit.

The movie stars returning actors Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, and newcomer Isabela Moner.

Paramount hasn't announced any synopsis for the film yet, so specifics of its plot remain unknown.

Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
