Josh Duhamel Rejoins Transformers Cast in ‘The Last Knight’

The release of 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction saw the franchise going into a mild reboot since all previous human lead characters were replaced with a completely new set of faces. Well, that isn't the case now since it has just been confirmed that Lt. Colonel William Lennox actor Josh Duhamel will be reprising his role in Transformers 5, recently officially announcedas Transformers: The Last Knight.

Duhamel's Lennox appeared in all three Transformers movies prior to Age of Extinction. He was always present during action sequences, in the front lines whenever the Decepticons would Earth or the Transformers. While there had been speculations of the 43-year-old actor reprising his role in Transformers 4, which never saw the light of day. Now, it seems even director Michael Bay is happy that the actor is back.

Returning lead actor Mark Wahlberg also welcomed Duhamel's presence back via Twitter.

This news of Duhamel's return comes in the wake of the casting announcement of Nickelodeon star Isabela Moner, who is set to play the movie's new female lead.

It looks like Transformers: The Last Knight is slowly filling out its roster of stars, just in time for the beginning of production. It's expected to start anytime soon since the movie will be out by next year.

With all that's been said, it looks like Duhamel will be the only star from the original Transformers cast who will be returning, or probably is willing to return for the upcoming sequel.
