Meghan Markle and Sarah Ferguson are, reportedly, very close. Even though they have maintained a relatively low-key bond, sources believe that the Duchess of Sussex has been relying on Fergie for support.
On some occasions, the Duchess of York expressed her fondness for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Shortly after the Sussexes got engaged, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife said that she’s grateful to have been invited to their royal wedding. Fergie wasn’t invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s special day in 2011.
Sarah Ferguson Is One Of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Biggest Allies
Heat UK, in its Jan. 10 issue, claimed that Markle needs all the allies that she can get especially as she rang in the New Year. After all, there are a lot of things in store for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2022.
An unnamed source said that royal fans will see Markle and Fergie as a powerful double act this year. And they will also collaborate on future projects.
“Sarah, along with daughters Eugenie and Beatrice, seems to be the only high-profile royals Meghan still trusts. Meghan wants nothing to do with Prince Andrew for obvious reasons, but Sarah has worn her down with her kindness. She’s always been there to offer support and has been telling Eugenie and Beatrice for years now that Meghan is a breath of fresh air who is deserving of their love and support,” the unnamed source said.
Meghan Markle, Sarah Ferguson Will Team Up On Multiple Projects
The unnamed source added that Markle and Fergie will be taking their friendship to the next level this year.
“Meghan wants them to collaborate with her on some TV ventures, mental health awareness partnerships, and other charity work. But, more importantly, they’ve made a pact to have each other’s backs,” the unnamed source concluded.
Sarah Ferguson Praises Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
Last month, Fergie proved that she’s a loyal ally of Prince Harry and Markle.
During her appearance on the Italian talk show Porta a Porta, the host asked Ferguson to weigh in on Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to quit The Firm and relocate to the United States.
“The most important thing—and I know Diana, if she were here, would say that—is they are happy. And she makes him happy. And I love to see that little boy that cried at the funeral to have happiness now,” Ferguson said.
During an interview with People, Ferguson said that if Princess Diana was still alive, she would be very proud of Prince William and Prince Harry. The Princess of Wales would’ve also been a doting grandmother to all her grandchildren.
“If she were sitting with me right now, I know she would say, 'I am so proud of both of my boys and the wonderful wives they have chosen’ because each has got her own voice,” she said.

Sarah Ferguson Refuses To Judge Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
In June, Ferguson appeared on Good Morning America and once again talked about Markle.
“I believe that everybody has a right to their own voice and there should be no judgment on race, creed, color, or any other denomination. I personally would never be able to judge another, so I just am not like that. I wish Harry and Meghan so much happiness and I know that [the late Princess] Diana would be so proud of her sons and their wives,” she said.
