Meghan Markle was recently dubbed the “Princess of Montecito” by her neighbors. But this isn’t the only moniker that she received this week. According to a recent study, Prince Harry’s wife is also the most intelligent member of the royal family. And she is the one who can earn the highest salary in the real world, but only because she’s a university graduate.
Meghan Markle Is The Most Intelligent Royal, Could’ve Been Richest
Research conducted by Erudera unveiled the estimated salary for each member of the royal family based on their degrees and educational attainment. They said that Markle’s annual salary could be estimated at $47,000, according to Express.
If Prince Charles isn’t the heir to the throne and he’s working in the real world, he would be the second-richest person within the family with an estimated annual salary of $44,000. The future king studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge University.
Ranked in the third spot is Prince William, who has a degree in geography from St. Andrew’s University. His estimated annual salary is $41,000 if he’s not a working royal.
Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, is also included in the sixth spot. The Duchess of Cambridge has a Master’s Degree in History of Art. Her estimated annual salary is $39,000.

Meghan Markle Graduated With A Double Degree
Last year, a similar study was conducted by Oxford Royale, and they also dubbed the Duchess of Sussex as the most intelligent member of the royal family. She was also praised for using her platform to raise awareness over serious world issues that showcase her intelligence.
Prince Harry’s wife graduated from Northwestern University in Illinois in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in theater and international relations.
“Life as a royal isn’t always an easy job and involves a lot of dealing with extensive scrutiny and life in the public spotlight, and Meghan Markle’s academic strengths have equipped her perfectly for this role. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have resigned from their roles as working royals, they have captured the interest and attention of the world, and Meghan’s desire to use her platform to raise awareness over serious world issues reflects her intelligence, analytical mind and educational pedigree,” Oxford Royale said in a statement last year (via News.com.au).
Last Year’s Study Claimed Meghan Markle Is More Intelligent Than Kate Middleton
Oxford Royale also named Middleton the second most intelligent member of the royal family. Prince William ranked third, followed by Princess Eugenie, Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princess Anne, Camilla Parker Bowles, and Princess Beatrice ranked tenth, but Prince Harry didn’t make it to last year’s list of the most intelligent royals.
One non-royal made it to the list due to her association with a former member of the royal family. Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana’s niece, ranked eighth on the list.
