Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are very tactile. They always hold hands and touch each other, even in public. However, according to a royal expert, there was a lack of love when they attended the United Nations Assembly in New York City Monday.
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Going Through Something?
British journalist and royal biographer Angela Levin weighed in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's public engagement in the Big Apple. In her opinion, something was wrong between the pair because they weren't the usual lovey-dovey couple.
She pointed out the way the Duchess of Sussex held her husband's arm and how he reacted.
"What was very interesting is that he was sitting on his seat with Meghan next door," Levin said on GB News as quoted by Express. "Of course, she took his arm and he pushed it back, and she grabbed it with one hand and held on to the arm with the other one. So he really couldn't move, he was trying to wriggle and he couldn't."
The Harry: A Biography of a Prince author claimed that there are a lot of photographs that capture the moment between the royal couple. For her, it seemed that Prince Harry wanted to be free from his wife. She also noticed that they didn't look at each other.
"And you look at it and you see this is not somebody showing love or anything because they didn't look at each other," Levin continued. "She did it and he was looking over there and she was looking over here, so something was going on yesterday."
Body language expert Jesus Enrique Rosas also studied the couple's gestures at the event and noticed how Prince Harry's relaxed expression changed when Markle held his hand. According to him, it looked like Prince Harry didn't want Markle clinging to his arm at the time that he slipped his hand from her grip.
"She grabs his hand in a controlling gesture. You can see that her hand is absolutely covering his. And he looks away and he lets go of it. He takes his hand away like, 'Don't grab my hand,'" Rosas said on his YouTube channel.
The expert said it was "uncomfortable" to watch. But Markle appeared unhappy with her husband's reaction, so she put Prince Harry's hand on her knee and wrapped both of her hands on his arm, which Rosas called the "double Markle claw." By doing so, Rosas claimed Markle was sending the message, "You're mine. Give me your arm because you're mine."
Prince William's Brother Prince Harry Reportedly Looked 'Very Lost' Beside Meghan Markle
Aside from commenting on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's gestures at the event and the Duke of Sussex's speech, which according to Levin, infuriated the Americans, she also shared her observations about Prince Harry's looks.
According to the royal expert, Prince William's brother didn't look happy at all, even if he was seated beside the woman he chose over his family.
"He looks absolutely terrible. He looks so unhappy, so drained and as if the world is coming to an end," Levin added. "But I think overall, I think he's very, very lost, and he's trying to hold on to his mother's magic and that will give him power."

She continued, "Every day he thinks about her and what she would like him to do and I think it's not a very healthy way to actually - think about her, but don’t try and get her to tell him what to do and when."
Rosas noticed the same and shared side-by-side pictures of Prince William and Prince Harry on Twitter. According to him, one of them looked trapped, and many said it was the Duke of Sussex.
"It's Harry and him being trapped is all his own doing, his family and friends tried warning him about rushing things with Meghan, but he didn't listen so this is [the] outcome, being fully controlled by Meghan, not being allowed to do anything without her and her telling him what to do," one wrote, blaming Prince Harry for what he was feeling at the time.
