Camilla Parker Bowles has been solid support for Prince Charles, but Prince Harry may have not fully forgiven her, according to a royal expert. Thus, there are fears that the Duke of Sussex would blast her in his memoir.

Palace Allegedly Worried Prince Harry Would Target Camilla Parker Bowles In Memoir

Royal expert Phil Dampier weighed in on Prince Harry's upcoming memoir. According to him, it got Buckingham Palace worried that he might unleash his anger toward his stepmother in his tome.

"Harry and William were equally devastated by their parents’ divorce and Diana’s death," Dampier told New Idea. "The fear is that deep down Harry has never truly forgiven [Camilla] for being Charles’ mistress and then wife."

The 37-year-old royal has distanced himself from the royal family after marrying his wife, Meghan Markle. The outlet noted that the Duke of Sussex started a new life in the United States and has been aligning himself closer to his late mother, Princess Diana.

"As he grows older, Harry seems to see himself as his mum’s defender. I’m sure he will settle a lot of old scores in the book," the commentator added.

Dampier also believed that Markle may have influenced her husband. After receiving a frosty reception in his home country during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration last month, the expert believed that Prince William's brother would air his concerns in his memoir at the encouragement of his wife.

"I’m sure Meghan is encouraging him to get lots of issues off his chest and has convinced him it’s best for his mental health," he added. "Camilla is quite a strong character and took a lot of stick for many years but has got through it. However, the book is not going to help matters with his father and brother."

How's Prince Harry And Duchess Camilla Parker Bowles' Relationship

Prince Harry and Camilla Parker Bowles do not have a close bond despite the former's statement in a previous interview saying he and Prince William love their stepmother. According to body language expert Judi James, after examining their photos during various engagements, there was obvious friction between Prince Charles' wife and youngest son.

"It looks very much as though Harry needed an alienation from his father before he dropped some of the social niceties with Camilla," James told Daily Mail.

James noticed that Prince Harry distanced himself from the rest of the royals during Duchess Camilla's wedding to Prince Charles in 2005.

"Harry and William performed their usual upbeat and fun-loving double act, with Harry clearly living up to his reputation as 'the joker prince,'" James added. "However, he appears to be less keen on showing the face of grinning 'approval' when it comes to the official portraits."

Prince Harry also reportedly snubbed Camilla's invitation to meet him and Meghan Markle when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in the U.K. last month, according to royal commentator Neil Sean. Sean claimed on his YouTube channel that Camilla wanted to speak about the "terrible situation" between him and his dad.

Camilla reportedly offered to meet them "anywhere at their discretion." However, Prince Harry and Markle allegedly declined the invitation, Sean's source said.

"One has to suggest that perhaps Camilla could feature very heavily in Prince Harry's book," Sean suggested, adding that if Prince Harry did so, it would worsen his relationship with his father, the Prince of Wales.

In February, the Queen also gave her highest approval to Camilla by announcing that the latter would be Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes king. Prince Harry did not release any statement congratulating his stepmother.

After four days of silence, Prince Harry announced that he would continue his mom Princess Diana's work on HIV/AIDS.

What do you think of Prince Harry and Camilla's relationship? Do you agree that he would write about his sentiments against his stepmother in his memoir?
