British journalist and investigative reporter Tom Bower, author of the book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, previously talked about the former actress' possible misconception about her husband. According to Bower, Markle was "money-obsessed", and she was probably "disappointed" that Harry was not as wealthy as she thought.
