Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle had a misunderstanding over bridesmaid dresses in the run-up to the latter's royal wedding. A body language expert weighed in on the drama and seemingly sided with the Princess of Wales.
Kate Middleton Wanted To Cooperate With Meghan Markle
Human behavior and body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass, author of Toxic People: Toxic People: 10 Ways Of Dealing With People Who Make Your Life Miserable, analyzed the text messages between the two duchesses that Prince Harry shared in his memoir Spare. The expert felt for the future queen consort.
"Kate wanted to cooperate," the expert told Express. "It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life. It's childish, babyish, and stupid."
"Kate wanted to be cooperative. You know, when she said the dresses needed to be done, even the tailor said yes, everyone's dresses need to be done. It was so, so silly."
Markle told Oprah Winfrey during their tell-all that Middleton did something that made her cry. Prince Harry also said in his book that the fiery exchange between his sister-in-law and wife left the latter sobbing on the floor.
What Did Prince Harry Say About The Bridesmaid Dresses Drama In Spare?
According to Prince Harry, Middleton complained that her daughter Princess Charlotte's dress didn't fit her. It was "too big, too long, too baggy," so the tot "cried when she tried it on at home."
The Duke of Sussex said Markle didn't reply to Middleton straight away because she had "endless wedding-related texts," but most were related to her dad Thomas Markle Sr. The former Suits star replied to Middleton the following day.
"Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?" Markle reportedly texted Middleton.
"No, all the dresses need to be remade," Middleton replied.
At that point, Markle asked Middleton if she was aware of the ongoing drama between her and her dad. Prince William's wife said she was aware, "but the dresses" and the wedding was only four days away.
Markle replied to Middleton, "Yes, Kate, I know."
Prince Harry claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge had "problems with the way Meg was planning her wedding. Something about a party for the page boys? It went back and forth."
"I'm not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn't fit, then please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He's been waiting all day," Markle texted Middleton again.

"Fine," Middleton replied.
Prince Harry arrived home and found his wife "on the floor sobbing." He said he comforted Markle and explained his sister-in-law's side.
"It was intolerable but temporary. Kate hadn't meant any harm, I told (Meghan)," Prince Harry added.
