This week, Tom Hardy has just confirmed that Venom 3 is now officially in production. While there are plenty of theories surrounding Venom 3’s potential synopsis, especially with the possibility of Venom and Eddie Brock entering the MCU, fans are hoping to see Andrew Garfield aka The Amazing Spider-Man battle the symbiote in the threequel.
There are two potential pathways Venom 3 could go: Venom and Eddie encountering Toxin in their own franchise or the official beginning of Venom’s entrance / introduction into the MCU, specifically in the world of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU. Seeing that Marvel Studios is making their way into colliding more heroes and villains to include within their multiverse, both synopses COULD happen.
It is important to note that nothing has been set to stone yet, so all we can really do for now is theorize on what could go on in Venom 3.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released back in 2014 starring Andrew Garfield, but seeing as Garfield's Spider-Man franchise is under Sony Pictures, the same company that produced the Venom franchise, this sparked fans’ excitement all over Twitter, especially since Parker’s meeting with Venom remains inevitable, given that the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home featured a leftover goop that came from Venom after getting zapped out of the MCU.
That said, the quintessential comic book archnemesis are definitely bound to meet sooner than we thought. With Eddie Brock and Venom returning in their own universe, there’s a slight chance Sony could take this opportunity to feature Garfield’s Spider-Man. If not as a main title, then perhaps a threequel for his Amazing Spider-Man. As for Holland, his Spider-Man is fated to meet the symbiote, who will surely find its host once Spider-Man 4 is out.
Venom 3 has no release date yet, but it has been speculated to be released sometime in 2024.
