Disney+ will be bringing us more Spidey, even if we won’t be seeing him in more Marvel movies in the future. There has been scarce news about the animated series but we are holding on to what web we are given. Here is everything we know about Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year Release Date: When Will Spider-Man: Freshman Year Come Out?

There is still no confirmed release date for Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

The animated series is projected to release sometime in 2024, but there have been rumors that the series may be canceled. Fans can rest easy though because these rumors seem to be unfounded and baseless.

Disney announced the 2024 release date during the 2022 Comic-Con.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year Announced?

Disney+ first announced Spider-Man: Freshman Year back in 2021 during that year Disney Plus Day. There have been little to no news about the series since after the potential release date was revealed.

So far, the cast of Spider-Man: Freshman Year is still unconfirmed. There have been speculations but we have to wait and see which are true.

Peter Parker and Friends

It seems Tom Holland will not be a part of the project this time around. Considering that he also did not lend his voice to the Spider-Man in the What If…? series, there is a slim chance that he will also be taking on the animated series.

We are also still waiting for news about the cast who will be voicing other important characters like Aunt May, MJ, and Harry Osbourne.

Daredevil and Doctor Strange

There will be other Marvel superheroes joining the Spider-Man in his Freshman year. During the 2022 SDCC, we learn that Charlie Cox will continue his stint as the one and only Daredevil in the MCU. After his impressive performance in other Marvel series like She-Hulk: Attorney-at-Law and Daredevil: Born Again, it comes as no surprise that he will be reprising his role. Other than Spider-Man: Freshman Year, Cox is also set to play Daredevil in the upcoming series, Echo.

Doctor Strange will be also be part of Peter Parker’s adventures, though we still don’t know who will be voicing him. Benedict Cumberbatch may be cast, but we still can’t say for sure.

King Pin, The Wizard, and More

Peter Parker will be facing many villains, even as a Freshman.

The King Pin will also be making a reappearance along with other new villains, like Unicorn, Tarantula, Scorpion, Speed Demon, Chameleon, and Doctor Octopus.

Out of all the villains, only the antagonist, The Wizard aka Bentley Witman, has been cast with actor Paul F. Tompkins lending his voice.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year is still early in development, so we have limited information about who will be working behind the camera. There are no associated directors so far and we can safely assume that Kevin Feige will be involved in one capacity or another.

So far, we only know that Jeff Trammell will be the head writer of the series. Trammell has worked in many famous series like Amphibia, Craig of the Creek, and The Owl House.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year Plot: What Will be the Plot of Spider-Man: Freshman Year?

Spider-Man: Freshman Year will be about, well, Peter Parker’s first year in high school when he first started out as everyone’s friendly neighborhood.

The episodes may follow Peter’s daily life as he does his best to balance school, being a hero, and making home in time for dinner.

Peter will also be facing various villains, both old and new, but he won’t be alone, Doctor Strange and Daredevil will be there to offer a helping hand.
