The upcoming Halloween special of Disney Plus, Marvel’s Werewolf By Night, is currently under production and now, the series just locked in a director with Micahel Giaccino known for his musical scores in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and his latest work, Lightyear.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Michael Giaccino confirms that he would be the director for Marvel’s Werewolf By Night, the Halloween special of Disney Plus and he is excited to work on the project, "I've been having a blast. It's an incredibly challenging process. I love it."
Giaccino added that they are currently in the middle of production, "Everyday, I've been having fun working on it and we're in the middle of it. Hopefully, very soon we'll share a lot more about it.”
Giaccino shares that he is finally working on a project close to his heart, “There's not much I can't say other than I'm having a good time and I am working on something that I love. So, that's a win-win right there."

Michael Giaccino is known for his musical scores in big projects such as LOST, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and his latest project with Disney, Pixar’s Lightyear starring MCU’s Captain America, Chris Evans.
Werewolf By Night stars Gael Garcia Bernal as the lead role which will be the first ever Disney Plus show from Marvel Studios that will be led by a Mexican actor. Majority of the details for the Halloween special remains under wraps but it is expected to release more information as the Halloween season nears.
With the arrival of Werewolf By Night, it is expected that some time in the future, the character will be facing one of his best known opponents in the comic books, Moon Knight, who recently debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his very own show starring Oscar Isaac.
Werewolf By Night first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #2 in February 1972. The character has two iterations with Jack Russell, a descendant of Lycanthropes, who can be a werewolf even without a full moon and Jake Gomez, from a family cursed by lycanthropy.
Marvel’s Werewolf By Night is expected to arrive on Disney Plus in late 2022.
