Marvel's Avengers Reveals Where Captain Marvel is Early On

Marvel's Avengers is going to get a mixed reaction when official reviews finally come out but it does seem like a lot of people (including yours truly) are enjoying the game. While the game has had some rough patches, beating up folks as Ms. Marvel and Captain America can be too damn fun so we're looking forward to seeing more heroes join the roster. Fans already know that two Hawkeyes and maybe Black Panther are coming to the game but how about that hero who inspired Kamala Khan in the first place?

Yes, we're referring to Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel. The character's existence is not ignored thankfully, as the opening bit in A-Day actually addresses her whereabouts in a pretty generic fashion.

After Kamala Khan stands up for herself, she's approached by Steve Rogers who commends her for being strong. He looks at Kamala's shirt and quickly realizes that she's a fan of Captain Marvel, remarking that she is "off-planet," right now. It's a pretty basic way of telling us that Captain Marvel won't be in the base game but will definitely be added in the game as a post-launch hero, probably after Black Panther.

Honestly, we're looking forward to seeing Kamala interact with Captain Marvel since some of her fangirling has been adorable. The fact that she clearly loves Carol Danvers is going to lead to some fun moments and they better have their writing team on their A-game for some of this material. Or they can just read the comics and copy that, we won't mind.

Marvel's Avengers is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
