Marvel's Avengers Gets Two Hawkeyes Post-Launch

Marvel's Avengers just revealed who the second post-launch hero is going to be and fans are a wee bit disappointed. Joining Hawkeye after launch is, well, Hawkeye. That's right, Kate Bishop has been confirmed for the game and fans are a bit mixed on her inclusion, thankfully not due to sexist reasons for once. Most people know that she's a fun character in the comics and Kate did look cool in the trailer above but you can't blame people for being disappointed since Kate and Clint are too similar gameplay-wise.

Kate Bishop is introduced to The Avengers by Maria Hill, who reveals that Clint made a deal with some shady lady and disappeared. He's either mind-controlled or has plans to do a big double-cross the baddie but his ambiguous affiliation should get fans curious about the game.

Interestingly enough, Hawkeye Kate Bishop is being labeled as the first Marvel's Avengers post-launch hero, though they PlayStation Blog confirm that Hawkeye Clint Barton will be playable and is getting his own single-player campaign as well. The fact that both Hawkeyes are getting a story campaign has divided people but we're hoping that they pull it off.

Fans were divided on the news, not because they hate Kate Bishop but due to their similar playstyles. Both Clint and Kate use bows so they might end up feeling like palette swaps. Granted, all of the heroes are free so I supposed there shouldn't be too many complaints but as a second post-launch hero for Marvel's Avengers, this could have been better.

Marvel's Avengers will be coming out this Friday, on September 4 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
