After the addition of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on Disney Plus, as the platform celebrates National Streaming Day, May 20, an unofficial holiday Roku has set in stone years ago, there will be a watch party of the series today and it is confirmed that there would be a live tweet for the first episode.
Disney Plus announced proudly on Twitter that there would be an Agents of SHIELD watch party happening today on the streaming platform in honor of the unofficial holiday that Roku made in 2014 which is the National Streaming Day happening every May 20th. This would be done for the Disney Bundle which includes Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN.
Many MCU fans remain hopeful that somehow, some way, the characters from the beloved series would turn up in the franchise. There is, of course, Phil Coulson who was first seen in the MCU before making the jump to the series, and the other characters such as Skye/ Daisy Johnson, Leopold Fitz, Jemma Simmons, Melinda May, Al MacKenzie, and more.
Agents of SHIELD has a total of seven seasons. It all started with Phil Coulson and his return from death as he was resurrected by some kind of alien blood later revealed in the series to be Kree. The series touched various comic book arcs such as the Inhumans, Ghost Rider, life model decoys, Kree invasion, space travel, and finally, time travel.

To date, Agents of SHIELD is not yet recognized as canon given that there are tons of differences in the timeline by the later end of the show. For the first half of the whole show, there were still some connections in the MCU but the story drifted quite far by the last half.
Still, since Daredevil is given another shot and this time, he forms part of the MCU now with his very own series, making the jump from Netflix to Disney Plus, surely, anything is possible, right?
The watch party for Agents of SHIELD is happening tonight at 6:30 PM PT/ 9:30 PM ET on Disney Plus.
