Marvel Contest of Champions Gets a New Doctor Strange Event

Still on the heels of Doctor Strange's success onscreen, Kabam has announced a new event for Marvel Contest of Champions.

This time, fans can enjoy the Sorcerer's Conclave, an event that will impact the future events in the game's world.

Speaking to Marvel, Kabam Art Director Gabriel Frizzera and Designers Dominic O'Grady and Tiep Bui share what they have in store for the event.

Here, The Collector will introduce the Arcane Arena, which will challenge his Summoners to compete against the best mystics in the whole of Battle Realm.

"All mystics will be part of it. But the Sorcerer's Conclave title alludes to a small group of extremely skillful masters of the mystic arts (Mordo, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Voodoo, and Loki) capable of performing a very specific spell, the Arcane Door of Augur-Tendash. What's the goal of this spell? Only Stephen Strange knows, but the survival of The Contest might be connected to it."

The Sorcerer's Conclave will come in tandem with the introduction of auto fight in the game. According to Bui, this is one of the most-requested features for the game.

There will also be some Dimensional Rifts. This will introduce short, time-limited, and high difficulty-high reward quests. Completing the highest tiers will let players earn rewards like 5-Star Shards, tier 2 Alpha Catalysts, and 5-star Awakening Gems.

The Sorcerer's Conclave is already live in Marvel Contest of Champions. It will run for quite some time until Dec. 7, 10 a.m. PST, so make sure to try out the new features.
