Mario Kart Gets The Last of Us Treatment in Pedro Pascal's Hilarious SNL Trailer

It's no secret that The Last of Us is currently the biggest show on television so we're not surprised that Saturday Night Live decided to produce a parody of the HBO series. The new "trailer" for the live-action Mario Kart show features Pedro Pascal as Mario.

The hilarious Mario Kart "trailer" was featured in the latest episodes of SNL hosted by Pedro Pascal so it only made sense that the Last of Us star would be in it. The fake series gives the popular Nintendo game series a dark treatment similar to The Last of Us.

The Mario Kart trailer features Pedro Pascal's Mario being enlisted to transport Princess Peach. Let's just say it looks better than expected and fans are loving the idea of Pascal leading the hilarious parody.

The previous episode of The Last of Us only featured Pascal's Joel and Bella Ramsey's Ellie briefly as it focused on the story of Bill and Frank. Episode 3 revealed how the two met after the apocalypse and eventually had a beautiful romance. However, this week's episode is set to bring the focus back to the main characters.

The Last of Us is proving to be a truly successful series and it has finally been renewed. But what can we expect in The Last of Us Season 2? There are speculations that the first game's storyline will carry over to the second season but it will focus primarily on the title's sequel The Last of Us II. That means that all those speculations about a particular game character being cast for the live-action adaptation might be true and could be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Last of Us Episode 4 is titled Please Hold My Hand and will premiere on HBO Max on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
