However, not all are fully aware that the “Butterfly” singer has allegedly thrown some major shade at another songstress who considers herself the Queen of Pop: Madonna.
When asked about Mariah Carey during her interviews, Madonna definitely did not mince her words. The “Material Girl” hitmaker, in an interview with Spin in 1996, dragged Mariah when she suggested that her work was anything other than serious art.

Globe Magazine, in its upcoming June 6, 2022 issue, reported Mariah Carey trashed Madonna’s latest move – flashing a 3D replica of her private part – for an animated video featuring the “Frozen” songstress’ aging naked body giving birth to trees and butterflies.
An unnamed insider told the publication:
“Mariah thinks Madonna’s gross and is making sure Madonna gets the message by telling all their mutual pals. There’s always been tension between the divas because they’re two of the most egotistical narcissistic celebrities on the planet. But these days Mariah’s got the edge. She tops Madonna at everything from star power to romance.”

Tipsters added Mariah Carey loves rubbing it in by gloating she and backup Bryan Tanaka – her lover for the past six years – are still so hot, she just bought a $5.65 million Atlanta mansion for a love nest.
On the other hand, Madonna’s dancer boyfriend Ahlamalik William reportedly crashed and burned after three years, though a replacement seems to be lurking in the wings.

The informant furthered:
“Mariah’s laughing over Madonna’s breakup with Ahlamalik and now this NFT stuff. Mariah’s saying Madonna’s finished, she’s aged horribly from all the plastic surgery, and her legacy is over. Mariah also crows she doesn’t have to degrade herself to get hits on social media.”
Madonna is getting attention online, but not just the right kind. One critic even criticized the “Papa Don’t Preach” hitmaker’s bare-all NFT gig, stating:

Another netizen, as per Globe Magazine, reportedly wrote:

Of Mariah Carey’s alleged criticism of Madonna, an unidentified source said:

Meanwhile, famous fashion designer Vera Wang revealed an interesting detail about the original 1993 wedding dress of Mariah Carey. The American fashion designer told Page Six that the “Hero” singer was “moved and influenced” by Princess Diana’s royal wedding.
Vera Wang told the magazine:
"She was very moved and influenced by that wedding. This was the era of Princess Diana."
Most, if not all, fans can recall that visual parallels between the wedding dress include the length of the veil. Mariah Carey later revealed, during her appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live in 2018, that it was a whopping 27 feet long.
Vera Wang divulged that, when it came to the overall design, Mariah Carey wanted the dress to exude the extravagance of a royal wedding. She stated:
"She wanted that level of pomp and circumstance and romance and volume. She really wanted a princess look, and it was just one of those weddings that was truly a fairytale in the sense of scale."

However, just like the late Princess Diana, the royal-like wedding of Mariah Carey did not end in a happy-ever-after marriage as she and her first husband Tommy Mottola were divorced in 2018.
Twelve years later, the “Angel’s Cry” singer donned the dress in a 2005 music video and nearly set it on fire.
Of the Vera wang-designed wedding gown, Mariah Carey said:
"When I did 'We Belong Together' I was going to burn the wedding dress. That was my original wedding dress."
But, Mariah Carey said the music video director rejected the idea because of the sheer length of the dress. The “When You Believe” hitmaker added:
"I wanted to burn it at the end of the video. I thought it would've been dramatic, nobody understood."
