WandaVision premiered its final episode last week and it's safe to assume that Episode 9 had a lot of fans glued to their TV sets and streaming devices since it was rumored to mark an epic cameo from a mystery character. As it turns out, none of the fan theories ended up materializing, and the "cameo" was actually Paul Bettany himself who played White Vision.

Naturally, fans of the show weren't that pleased after seeing Episode 9 and a lot of it has something to do with the fan theories and cameo rumors that didn't happen. It was previously reported by several sites that WandaVision would have a moment that would be similar to that of Luke Skywalker's The Mandalorian appearance and it was teased by actress Elizabeth Olsen herself.

Now, insider Daniel Richtman (via Patreon) says in his latest report that initial plans for WandaVision's grand finale called for a cameo appearance by Doctor Strange. According to the scoop, Benedict Cumberbatch was originally scheduled to film his scene in the said episode but it was ultimately dropped from the show.

It's unclear why the showrunners ended up scrapping the idea but considering the fact that Wanda and Strange are both appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, I guess they wanted their "official" first interaction to feel much bigger. I say official because technically, it wouldn't be their first encounter as Avengers: Endgame originally had a scene featuring the two teaming up but it was ultimately dropped from the film.
