Fans are still gushing over Evan Peters' shocking debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as "Pietro Maximoff" in WandaVision and while it's yet to be confirmed if he's indeed playing a reanimated version of Wanda's deceased twin brother, a lot of viewers are still pleased to see the X-Men star back in the Marvel universe playing a character he pretty much owned.

Peters turning up in Episode 5 was a pretty big deal and people assumed right off the bat that he was the Luke Skywalker level cameo Elizabeth Olsen was talking about and quite frankly, even though his character is nowhere near the Star Wars legend, seeing Evans' Quicksilver in WandaVision is still the stuff of legends and not to mention downright meta.

However, Paul Bettany has confirmed that Evan Peters isn't the surprise cameo they've been hyping up for weeks now. In an interview with Esquire (via ComicBook), the Vision actor expressed his excitement over the appearance of a mystery character that will probably blow us away.

Bettany addressed the rumors surrounding Benedict Cumberbatch and seemed to dismiss them. "This is the theory that says there is some mysterious Avenger who is going to appear in WandaVision, and people seem to think that mysterious Avenger is Doctor Strange. Truth is, of all of the characters that we were trying to keep secret, a lot of them got out through leaks."

He later spoke about the grand cameo and according to him, it's an actor he's been dying to work with. "There is one character that has not been revealed and it is very exciting, it's an actor I've longed to work with all of my life. We have some amazing scenes together, and the chemistry between us is, I think, extraordinary, and it was just fireworks on set. So I'm really excited for people to see that stuff."

When you think about it, Bettany has worked with every lead actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe which makes his statement a bit intriguing. Now, I may be reaching here but is it possible that he's actually talking about someone who has never starred in a Marvel Studios project? Who could it be?
