Lycoris Recoil is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the Summer 2022 lineup. Fans are enjoying the Chisato-Takina dynamic and it'd be great to not have to constantly switch from their cute expressions to the on-screen subtitles. Here's the latest on the release date for Lycoris Recoil's English dub.

Behind the peace that the people in Japan see all around them is a network of young female spies and assassins known as Lycoris agents, who have been trained to keep any and all threats away from citizens. They are under the bigger organization called DA.
Chisato Nishikigi is upbeat, all-smiles, and generally looks like she couldn't kill a fly. The last thing you would probably expect is for her to be known as the strongest Lycoris, but she is, and she surprisingly has great technique and accuracy.
Takina Inoue is the total opposite. Calm, serious, and probably needing a few smiling lessons, she is also a walking contradiction as she happens to like acting on a whim when you would expect her to be the calculating type.
Because of this very reason, Takina is reassigned from HQ to Cafe LycoReco, the traditional Japanese and Western fusion cafe in downtown Tokyo, where Chisato double-works as a cafe attendant and a Lycoris.
Takina is to be Chisato's partner and she's supposed to learn a thing or two from this famous and highly acclaimed Lycoris. But Chisato keeps doing plain and ordinary jobs and Takina is unsure she'll ever get back to HQ with this bubbly girl as her partner.
Takina's doubts are quickly crushed when she sees Chisato's stealth and skill firsthand. Now, they work together to deliver orders made at Cafe LycoReco—whether it be some wagashi or helping a woman escape her stalker.
Cafe LycoReco's staff includes Mizuki Nakahara, a former DA Intelligence Division member with an intense craving for marriage, and Mika, the cafe's manager who's also in charge of the girls' missions.
They are later joined by Kurumi, a lazy girl whose only motivation is to play games. She only comes to work at the cafe in exchange for free lodging.
LycoReco is a feel-good slice-of-life with a stark twist on crime and guns. Oh, and Japanese sweets!

When Will Lycoris Recoil be Dubbed in English?
Crunchyroll has announced the release of the English dub for Lycoris Recoil will be in late August, and also revealed the English cast members:
Lycoris Recoil's English dub actors include Lizzie Freeman (Chizuru in Rent-A-Girlfriend) as Chisato Nishikigi and Xanthe Huynh (Siesta in The Detective is Already Dead) as Takina Inoue.
In LycoReco's original Japanese dub, Chika Anzai (Grand Blue's Chisa Kotegawa) voices Chisato, while Shion Wakayama (Takt Op. Destiny's Destiny) voices Takina.
All 13 episodes of Lycoris Recoil will be available to stream on Crunchyroll with an active premium subscription, from July 2nd to September 24th.
