Ever since the Star Wars: The Force Awakens fans noticed a thread running between The First Order's overly sensitive Kylo Ren and the Force-sensitive orphan, Rey. Though the connection has been pretty obvious to followers of the Star Wars franchise, it's only been confirmed by Lucasfilm just recently.
Lucsfilm has just subtly confirmed that there's a "mysterious connection" between Daisy Ridley's talented Jakku orphan and Adam Driver's emo punk Kylo Ren in the character profile for Han Solo's son in the official Star Wars site.
This new Star Wars databank update could hint towards greater development to the growing story between the two Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars in upcoming Star Wars films.
Right now Rey's parentage is a massive source of discussion for many fans, and Disney and Lucasfilm executives have continued to refer to the Star Wars sequel trilogy as the "Skywalker Saga," something that holds a lot of meaning for the future films. Could Rey be connected to Kylo Ren's Skywalker bloodline? Let's wait and see.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled for release on the big screen on December 15 this year.
