It is undeniable that Tom Hiddleston has owned the role of Loki ever since his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The way he portrays the character is immensely incredible and the star revealed that he is very much willing to be the God of Mischief for as long as he could if he would be given the chance, even for the rest of his life.
In a chat with CBR.com, Tom Hiddleston revealed his interest in playing the character for as long as he could. He said, "meanwhile, I'll just hold on for as long as people want me to hold on for."
The actor also expressed his gratefulness to have portrayed the character for a while and the way he sees it, Loki would still be around for more. Hiddleston shared, "I'm so lucky that I've got to play Loki for this long. And you know, I feel like he's such an interesting character who's been around in human consciousness for so long.
He's got so many different aspects, so many different complex characteristics, that it feels like every time I play him, I find out something new or we get to evolve him or take him down an avenue that we haven't gone down before."
Since his debut in the MCU, Tom Hiddleston has been a fan-favorite for being Loki, and despite starting as a villain, over the years, the development of his character has been so broad, it is one of the best portrayals in throughout the decade that it could be said Hiddleston is synonymous to Loki.
In the canon series of Loki, Hiddleston showed that he has more in his arsenal of acting and gave us all the emotions we could feel, from laughter to heart-pounding action, even to romance, and to pain and tears. Indeed, his versatility in acting is perfect for the character.
Thankfully, Loki has been renewed for a second season and Hiddleston would reportedly be back for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He had become a pillar in the MCU and to know that he would be in it much longer is just everything any fan could ask for.
