The premiere of the second season of Loki last week was met with positive responses from most fans as they were glad to see the return of the titular character and continue his hijinks with the TVA gang in the midst of a multiversal threat.
One of the characters that fans have been anticipating to see for the rest of the season is Jonathan Majors' return as Victor Timely and the other Kang variants, who is expected to have a significant presence.
However, the actor's involvement in the new season has been a point of contention in the aftermath of his legal issues earlier this year and there were some questions on whether Marvel Studios is going to reshoot his scenes.
Ultimately, they decided to keep Majors' involvement in the new season as revealed by the trailers and no decision has been made regarding the actor's future in the MCU in the midst of his controversy.

Loki Producer Kevin Wright Opens Up About Jonathan Majors' Appearance in Season 2
In an interview with Buzzfeed, Loki executive producer Kevin Wright addressed Majors' involvement in the second season and the fan response that it will garner on their decision to keep his scenes.
While he acknowledged that it's a complicated situation, he also shared his hope that fans will be more engrossed by the story and the performances.
"I couldn't say how they'll react. My hope is they are engrossed by the story and not only his performance, but all the performances," Wright said.
"There's a reason why I said it's the story we set out to make, it's a good story and it's really beautifully performed by everybody. So my hope is that people will embrace it and enjoy it, but I also understand that it's a complicated situation."
In a previous interview, Wright revealed that the second season did not have any reshoots at all which is rare in an MCU project nowadays since they are notorious for doing additional filming during post-production.
It sounds like Marvel Studios is taking the approach of waiting for the verdict on Majors' legal case to play out before making a decision on whether they will keep him as Kang or recast him with another actor instead.
That is perhaps the reason why they did not consider reshooting Majors' scenes in the new season and they are relying on the audience to move past his real-life situation and see him as the character on the screen.
The bigger discussion now is Majors' future in the MCU after the second season of Loki (assuming that it was the latest project that he shot) and we might be hearing more updates in the near future once the trial plays out.
New episodes of the second season of Loki premiere every Thursday night on Disney+.
