Lee Seung Gi's future wife, Lee Da In, has been receiving hate comments since the announcement of her marriage to the actor.
Fans received the news from Lee Seung Gi through a handwritten letter on his Instagram account on Feb. 7. The My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho star confirmed that he and Lee Da In would get married in April.
Ahead of the ceremony, the actress has been receiving hate messages due to her family's past.

Lee Da In Suffers Scrutiny Before Marriage to Lee Seung Gi
Lee Seung Gi assured his fans in his letter that he and Lee Da In are happy with each other.
The actor said, "I want to share our happiness together, and even if there are difficult times in life, I want to overcome those difficulties together without letting go of each other's hands. I hope you will show support for our future ahead, and we will live happily while continuing to give back to others."
However, WikiTree reported about Lee Dai In's struggles as the news continued to receive mixed reactions. Some fans did not want them to get married due to the actress's family's past.

For what it's worth, her stepfather — who married her mother, Kyeon Mi Ri — had been arrested twice following his involvement in financial fraud. He was first imprisoned in 2011 for manipulating stock prices and gaining unfair profits.
At that time, he was sentenced to three years in prison.
He was released in 2014, but was arrested again due to the same charges in 2016.
Reports said he took control of KOSDAQ-listed company, Corebit and falsely claimed that the company would invest in the medical bio-industry. He took around $21.1 million and used the funds for other purposes.

At the height of the controversy, fans claimed that Lee Seung Gi's clean image was affected by his future father-in-law's crimes.

The actor-singer finally received more than $7 million of unpaid earnings from Hook Entertainment after not receiving them in the past years since he debuted as a singer.
