There is little doubt that people are hyped up for Kraven the Hunter now that we're getting more updates on the Spider-Man spin-off film. Interestingly, it looks like the project has finally begun production and Aaron Taylor-Johnson is already hard at work shooting some action scenes. New set photos have revealed our first look at the former Marvel Cinematic Universe star as he films a chase scene!
The Kraven the Hunter set photos were shared on Twitter and they show Aaron Taylor-Johnson in full sprint in what appears to be a chase scene. Although we don't get to see who he is chasing (or who is chasing him), we get our first glimpse at a very un-Kraven outfit that the character will be wearing in the movie. Check it out here.
We were hoping to see Taylor-Johnson in Kraven's trademark animal skin clothes but fans don't seem to mind considering that he looks good running around in a white dress shirt and black pants. The only clues that he is playing Kraven are the animal fang necklace and fake-foot shoes.
For those wondering "What are thoooose?", Taylor-Johnson is wearing special fake-foot shoes that actors use when filming scenes that emulate that they are barefoot. Since Kraven usually runs around barefoot in the comic books, the actor will be seen wearing those things a lot on the set. However, the shoes will be digitally removed in post-production.
We're loving the idea of a dressed-up Kraven removing his dress shoes before giving chase to some bad guys and it's likely something to look forward to in the film. However, we can't wait to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson in full Kraven costume soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Kraven the Hunter will also star Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, Ariana DeBose, and Levi Miller. The movie is scheduled for release on January 13, 2023.
