My Roommate is a Gumiho is a romantic fantasy that brings to life a Korean creature from folklore, a nine-tailed fox known as a gumiho.

The gumiho in the story can turn into a human with the help of a bead. Unfortunately, the bead manages to get into a student's mouth.

They only have a year to remove the bead, or she will die. As a result, they decide to live together to come up with a plan.
