Jujutsu Kaisen Light Novels English Release Announced by VIZ Media


Jujutsu Kaisen is certainly on a roll for the past few months as the franchise has been reaching a wider audience. Now, the franchise will be getting bigger as two of the light novels are finally getting an English release this year!

VIZ Media has officially confirmed that the Jujutsu Kaisen light novels will be released in English later this year. The first of the two is Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust which was illustrated by mangaka Gege Akutami and written by Ballad Kitaguni. Although the official release date was not yet revealed, the light novel's English release is set for Fall 2022.

Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust follows Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro as they tail Satoru Gojo around while their teacher enjoys the unique experiences of Tokyo's otaku-focused Akihabara district. While all of this is happening, the Curses Mahito, Jogo and Hanami are busy trying to find a location that would be suitable for their secret base.

The second volume of the Jujutsu Kaisen light novels will focus on other characters including Toge Inumaki, Mechamaru, and Nobara Kugisaki. The official title has not yet been announced.

This is great news for fans who are currently waiting for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Reading the light novels would be a great way to catch up with the Sorcerers as well as the Curses. In addition to that, these will help people get ready for the action-packed second season which will adapt the manga's Shibuya Incident arc.

The light novels have not yet been given an official release date but will be made available by VIZ Media in Fall this year. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to drop in Winter 2023, which would be anytime between December this year and March 2023.
